One of the best parts of being our local MP is I get to meet people who do a lot of good work supporting our local community.

Last week I met the team behind Bobby’s Big Heart on Canvey Island. Bobby’s Big Heart was set up in 2017 when Bobby Crabb told his mum he wanted to do something to help struggling families in the community.

The charity now supports many families on Canvey and across other parts of South Essex and has helped change the lives of hundreds of families in the past six years.

They are supported through donations of money and food from generous local people and supermarkets. They also hold fantastic fundraising events throughout the year with the help of local businesses.

We are very lucky to have them in our Borough and I want to thank their committee and all of their volunteers for all of the hard work they do.
