Benfleet Councillor, Sue Mumford tells us “This morning I took down the lovely yarnbomb that Carol Clark had kindly made for us for over the Christmas and Winter period. Carol has worked tirelessly over the last 2 years (despite having moved from the area over a year ago) to make beautiful yarn bombs for the Arundel Road post box. These have been enjoyed by numerous children from 3 local schools and adults alike and I am sure you will all agree has put a smile on many faces. We all thank Carol very much for sharing her creative talents with us and wish her well in her new home.
I took the Christmas yarnbomb to Open Arts and 2 of our lovely ladies transformed this into a beautiful Springtime theme which I then fitted this afternoon. I would like to say a big thank you to Allie and Fee for their hard work and determination to get this finished so the Arundel Road box was not left without a yarnbomb for too long. I am sure this will be enjoyed and appreciated by many people. Thank you again Carol, and thank you to Allie and Fee from openartsessex.org “
