Essex and Suffolk Water have informed me they have had to dig further into the middle of the road to locate one of the leaks.

They have shut both the Southend bound carriageways and only one is open London bound.

Please expect delays when travelling tomorrow.

They anticipate they will have to now work into the day tomorrow but hopefully have the work completed by the evening.

BURST WATER MAIN BETWEEN SADLERS AND TARPOTS

Residents have contacted me about two water leaks on London Road between Sadlers and Tarpots.

My office has spoken to Essex and Suffolk Water, they are on site and will be working through the night to fix them.

I have asked they do all they can to avoid disruption if the works have to go on until tomorrow morning’s rush hour.

Thank you in advance to the workers who will be on site throughout the rain and the cold this afternoon and the night getting it fixed ASAP.
