As the council attached this as a condition to the granting of the original planning permission, the council has the power to enforce it. At the very least Morrisons should be made to apply for permission before implementing the scheme and it can then be considered by the council with all objections and considerations taken into account. Morrisons cannot use the excuse that spaces are limited as they have themselves reduced the number of spaces considerably through the siting of the Garden Centre, the car wash and the We Buy Any Car office.

I have already been in dialogue with the planning officers and requested that the condition is enforced.
