Essex County Councillor, Jill Reeves has lobbied the authorities Highways department to reconsider the new left turn only road markings at Victoria House roundabout after complaints from motorists.

Highways officers have re-looked in to the new left turn arrow as you approach the roundabout heading east on the kiln road and following review it is acknowledged that this may not be the right approach. Officers will now evaluate the site with a view to reverting back to the straight over and left lining as had been in place.

Councillor Jill Reeves added “common sense appears to have prevailed and I know that I speak on behalf of my Borough Council colleagues and MP, when I say we all look forward to the lines being reverted to the original markings, the sooner, the better.”
