Thank you to the new Borough Police Commander, for meeting me on Friday inside Canvey Police Station for my regular catch-up on the Borough’s policing issues.

We discussed a range of issues, from the “Boy Racers” to anti-social behaviour and serious crime and hidden harms.

I can confirm from my own tour of the Canvey station that contrary to the persistent rumour on the island that it is still a busy functioning police station!
