Essex County Cllr, Andrew Sheldon tells us “A number of residents have contacted me concerned about works that have been set up outside the schools on Kent’s Hill Road tonight.

This is work to de-silt the manholes that service telephone cables ready to lay superfast fibreoptic broadband cables that will begin in the next few days.

This will be nightwork and it will be moving down Kent’s Hill towards the High Road on the Eastern side of the road. It should be gone well before the morning rush hour.”
