Last weekend Canvey man John Stone persuaded me to join him in giving the bus shelters either side of Canvey Road a good clean.

They certainly needed it and public spirited gestures like this can help save the Council Taxpayer money so I was very willing to give up some time to come and help.

Unfortunately the perspex has got so discoloured over the years that we couldn't do as good of a job as we would have liked, but they have had a good clean and lots of graffiti has been removed. Hopefully it will be a bit more welcoming for bus travellers.

Just a reminder that the Government have extended the £2 single fare cap for local bus journeys until October!
