On May 5th 2011 there will be an election in Central Ward on Canvey for the Canvey Island Town Council. We want you to vote for experienced campaigner Bill Sharp to represent you.
Who is Bill Sharp? Well, I am 63 years old, born and bred in East London and a fanatical West Ham supporter.
My fondness for Canvey stretches back to 1968 when I first moved onto the Island.
My day job is in the City as a stockbroker and I have been a Councillor on the Borough Council for twenty four years.
I have campaigned for Canvey over many years and was the founder of the Canvey Island Oil Refinery resistance group in the 1970’s.
You may ask why I want to represent Canvey Central ward when I live in Hadleigh? The answer is simple, I Love Canvey regardless of where I live. The current Councillors, Dave Blackwell & John Anderson do not live in Central ward so I probably live closer to that area than them!
I have lived on the Island for over thirty years of my life so I know first hand the issues that are important to you. It was only a change in my personal circumstances that caused me to move into Hadleigh.
I hope Central ward residents will consider voting for me on May 5th!
